important notice

Nanoose First Nation is not currently filling orders for status cards for those outside of the band membership, due to a limited supply of physical cards.

Anyone looking to apply for Indian status is advised to check-in with their home band office IRA if they haven’t already, or to visit the Indigenous Services Canada website and download an application there.

memo for all nfn community members

From: KATIE BOB
Subject:
REGISTERING THE BIRTH / DEATH OF A COMMUNITY MEMBER
Date:
JULY 9, 2019

This is an important reminder that if you have had a baby recently, you must register your child with ISC (Indigenous Services Canada) to ensure that your child receives medical/dental coverage. If you do not register your child, you as the parent will begin to receive medical/dental bills.

To register your child please bring in the LARGE FORM BIRTH CERTIFICATE and I will give you a form that needs to be filled out and signed by both parents.

To register the death of a community member, please bring in the death certificate of the deceased and I will do the necessary paperwork.
