Language Revitalization
project summary
The Hul’q’umi’num dialect spoken at Snaw-naw-as for generations is dwindling; however, thanks to funding from the Coast Salish Language Revitalization Project, we have hired a community language program coordinator. Now devoted to increasing fluency in our ancestral language, Tracie Finstad will be responsible for heading the initiative and rekindling the passion for Hul’q’umi’num in the community.
